My Hobbies #softskill b.inggris 2

Every human usually has a hobby or habit that they think is fun. I am also, I have lots of hobbies. One of my hobbies is reading and most like to read a novel with mystery genre, because the author is always making his readers to think what will happen next and it always make me curious. And not only that, I read story books, magazine, newspaper, and any kind of material that I find interesting.
This hobby got started when I was a little girl. I had always wanted my parents to read fairy tales and other stories to me. Soon they got fed up and tired of having to read to me continually. So as soon as I could, I learned to read. I started with simple ABC books. Soon I could read simple fairy tales and other story.
Now I read about everything that is available. Reading enables me to learn about so many things that I would otherwise not know. I learn about how people lived in bygone days of magic and mystery. I learned about the wonders of the world, space travel, human achievements, gigantic whales, tiny viruses and other fascinating things of our world. The wonderful thing about reading is that I do not have to learn things the hard way. For example, I do not have to catch a disease to know that it can kill me. I know the danger so I can avoid it. Also I do not have to go deep into the jungle to learn about the tiger, I can read all about it in a book.
Book provide the reader with so much information and fact. They have certainly helped me in my daily life. I am better equipped to cope with living. Otherwise I would go about ignorantly learning thing the hard way. So I continue to read. Beside being more informed about the world, I also spend my time profitably. It is indeed a good hobby.
A side from the hobby of reading, my hobby is travelling.  There is one place that made  me interested. Lembang especiallycikole is the place what I mean. There is a place to live with beautiful views and making eyes fascinated. Not only that, the food was delicious in there and also get friendly service. But the most I like is outbound in there. Because we are  required to go through any existing challenge without an instructor. I went through  every challenge that is ±4-5 meter above the ground without any protective device. It’s actually dangerous and make me feel afraid but on one side, I feel challenged to throught the obstacles. And finnaly I can go throught every challenge with success. The part I liked most was when playing paintball, it is challenging game. The place where to play paintball is very nice. The place is designed like a forest. The game was very interesting for  me.
In addition, I have other hobbies. My other hobbies are culinary tour and playing badminton. I really like the culinary tour because I can eat a variety of food and I can feel each different flavor. I love the food that had taste spicy, which I liked most was the ‘Duck Rice Mak Isa’ in klender, East Jakarta. Spicy flavor that that is making many people to visit there. Very many people who visited there during the day or night even many people who have become regular there. Not just the spicy duck, I also ever tasted ‘buffalo satay’. Ths special food made from buffalo meat. These foods are usually served for religious events. The sweet taste that add on its flesh make the mind feels more interesting. Moreever, the satay seasoning use is not made from beans or soy sauce chili as in generally.

I also like sports, especially badminton. My favorite badminton players is taufik hidayat. I love him because I think he is the best badminton player in Indonesia.

Softskill bahasa inggris 2 # Theme : Eat Junk Food

How To Stop Eating So Much Junk Food & Sugar!
A popular question that I get all the time is about how to stop giving in to food cravings. You know, how to stop eating so much of your favorite junk food and high sugar snacks. Andrew F. Smith, in his book, Encyclopedia of Junk Food and Fast Food defines junk food as "those commercial products, including candy, bakery goods, ice cream, salty snacks, and soft drinks, which have little or no nutritional value but do have plenty of calories, salt, and fats. While not all fast foods are junk foods, most are. Fast foods are ready-to-eat foods served promptly after ordering. Some fast foods are high in calories and low in nutritional value, while other fast foods, such as salads, may be low in calories and high in nutritional value." Foods commonly considered junk foods include salted snack foods, gum, candy, sweet desserts, fried fast food, and sugary carbonated beverages. Many foods such as hamburgers, pizza, and tacos can be considered either healthy or junk food depending on their ingredients and preparation methods. The more highly processed items usually fall under the junk food category, including breakfast cereals that are mostly sugar or high-fructose corn syrup and white flour or milled corn.
Whether you want to lose weight or build muscle, no matter what your goals are, we all love some type of junk food that we know we need to stop eating or at least greatly limit. The problem is, some people just can’t stop. They just can’t “get rid of the cravings” for these foods, and just can’t stop giving in to their food cravings. Luckily, I’m here to help you.
            But First, A Warning.
Before I go any further, let me give you an honest warning. This article is NOT intended for everyone. It’s something I’m writing specifically for people who lack will power and desperately need a strong kick in the ass to get motivated and stick to their diet. These are the people who can’t make cheat days work (it just causes them to fall off their diet) and can’t just “indulge in moderation” like many of us can (which is something I often recommend, just not in this article).
I get emails from these kinds of people all the time, and they constantly ask for an article like this. So, if this describes you, then keep on reading. If it doesn’t, then this article is definitely not for you. I don’t really recommend doing what I explain in this article to anyone except the type of person I just described. So, you’ve been warned. Now let’s get down to business.
“Sticking To My Diet Is Too Hard”
Who the hell are you to whine to me? Shut up already! Sure, I can completely understand if your problems with getting the results you want are from the wrong information about your workout or diet. I’ve been there before. I used to do the wrong stuff. But after I finally learned what works, I created this website to help others avoid the same problems I used to have.
I want to save you time, money and effort by giving you free honest information about how to get the results you want. But, this isn’t about your diet or workout. This isn’t about you wasting money on some useless ab workout machine or stupid weight loss product or other useless supplements and gimmicks that weren’t working for you. This is about food cravings.
Don’t whine to me. I’ve heard it before… “It’s so hard, I’m around this type of food all the time, the cravings just won’t go away, I have a sweet tooth, I just have to give in to the cravings.”
Stop it, you’re boring me. Don’t give me your little stories. Like how you are around this type of food all the time. Do you think you are the only one, buddy? Everyone I know and am related to eats junk food all day long. This crappy food is everywhere I look. I am no different than you, except, I don’t give in.
Do I have super human powers? No. Do I not give in because my arms are bigger than yours? No. Do I not give in because I can bench press more than you? No. Do I not give in because my body fat is lower than yours? No. Do I not give in because I am physically better or physically stronger than you? No.
I don’t give in because I am Mentally Stronger Than You. That’s all it is really, mental. And for you to give in and me not to give in, we can only assume that I am mentally stronger than you. How does that make you feel? I don’t know a damn thing about you, but I know that mentally, I can do something that you cannot. It sure makes me feel good though. That fact puts a smile on my face every single day. So, thanks for being so mentally weak. It will make me work that much harder during my next workout. Thanks a lot.
Sorry, did I hurt your feelings yet? I didn’t mean to, I’m just stating the truth. It’s not my fault if the truth hurts. You understand now that this is all mental, right? You understand that it’s all a matter of mental strength and will power, don’t you? Good. Here’s what you do.
Next time your little food cravings start coming out, think about this. Look at the food and think, “What do I want more… the 5 seconds of enjoyment that I will have while I chew this food, or the enjoyment of the fact that 24 hours of every day, 7 days of every week, I will have the body that I want to have.” That is what it comes down to really, and let me tell you… no food tastes as good as that feeling feels.
And you other people, you bullshitters. The ones that give me that speech about how “every food is okay if eaten in moderation.” And how “no one should deny themselves anything.” These are the same people who probably believe in having “cheat days.” Cheat days are the 1 day of the week where some people allow themselves to cheat a little from their diet and give into their food cravings, in moderation of course, kind of like a reward for the good work they did all week.
You know what… BULLSHIT! The hell with you and your cheat days. Your reward for sticking to your diet all week is 1 day of cheating? What kind of crap is this? Your reward for sticking to your diet all week is RESULTS! Remember them? They’re the reason that you are on this diet and working out in the first place. To get results! Not to have a cheat day at the end of the week.
Every food is okay as long as it’s eaten in moderation. One candy bar won’t hurt. One cookie won’t hurt. One piece of junk food won’t hurt. Maybe, but only if you CAN stop at one. If you can’t, then it WILL definitely hurt. That means that the cheat days and the idea of  “giving into your food cravings in moderation” that supposedly helps us stick to our diets actually does the opposite for many of us. It makes people feel guilty. It makes people crave that food even more. It keeps the cravings alive and strong.
What are you thinking now? Who am I? Like I never cheat or give into my cravings a little? This isn’t about me, this is about you. And you appear to be someone who is unable to give in to sugar and junk food cravings in moderation and should therefore avoid it completely. The thought of eating some type of junk food needs to be removed from your mind in order for you to stick to your diet.
            Eat For Purpose, Not Pleasure.
Call it will power, or call it mental strength. Your goal is to get results. Your road to getting those results doesn’t have to have 5 seconds of chewing pleasure. You need to eat for purpose, not pleasure. Food is not a hobby. Food is something your body needs to survive, and in the case of working out and getting results, food is something your body needs so that you can get those results. Food is nothing more than that.
So, give your body only what it needs to make these results happen. Does your body need the 5 seconds it takes for you to chew a piece of chocolate? No. Does your mind need it? It shouldn’t. It should be stronger than that because the feeling of not needing it feels much better than any piece of chocolate would ever taste.
Like I said, you need to eat for purpose, not pleasure. That statement sums up the solution to the problem many people have with “cheat days” and “food cravings” and “everything is okay if it’s eaten in moderation.” If you can make that type of mindset work, go for it. But if you can’t… then it will always be the downfall of your diet.
So don’t whine to me about how hard it is for you. Do you think I will feel bad for you? I won’t. You are not special. It is exactly as hard for you as it is for me and EVERYONE else. What’s the difference? I have what it takes mentally. You know what else? You have it too. You just need to learn to use it. And, hopefully… this article has helped bring it out.

Learning English
In this article, we share our techniques for improving your motivation for learning English as a foreign language. We used them all the time when we were learning English and we still use them when we need to boost our motivation in areas other than English.
            Imagine yourself in the future
Imagine you can talk to native speakers just like you talk in your first language. Imagine other people wanting to speak English as well as you do. Imagine the possibility of writing email to people from all over the world.
It is helpful to read an article about the advantages of knowing English well. There are two such articles on Antimoon: Why learn English and English makes you feel good.
You should know that it is possible to learn English really well. Just look another people who have done it.
Remember that you are already good
You already know some English (you’re reading an article in English right now). That’s a big success! Now it’s time for more successes. Time to start using powerful methods of effective learning. Time to gain an impressiveknowledge of English.
Remember there is a lot that you don’t know
You are good, but your English probably isn’t perfect. You probably can’t understand English-language TV, read books in English, talk to native speakers easily, write letters without mistakes, etc.
You should never think your English is perfect. Even if you are the best student in your class, always try to find your weak areas and work on them. When you’ve learned to speak English well, your problems will be quite small:punctuation, rarely used grammar structures, rare words, understanding “street language”. Right now, your problems are probably more basic: mistakes in pronunciation, small vocabulary, grammar problems with the present perfect tense and conditional structures.
            Use English whenever you can
Probably the most important way to improve your motivation is to use English.
Using English is fun. It is simply very enjoyable to use your English to read a good book, understand a song, watch an interesting movie, get an answer to a computer problem, exchange e-mails with a native speaker, etc. The more you use English, the more you will want to use it.
This is great, because using English is learning English. When you’re reading an interesting article or watching an exciting movie, you are using your English, but you are also learning new words and phrases. When you’re writing a message on an English-language discussion forum, you are using your English, but you are also practicing your writing.
But using English can also improve your general attitude to English andincrease your motivation to study English in other ways. For example, if you see that your knowledge of English pronunciation helps you understand a movie or speak more clearly, you will be motivated to study pronunciation even more. If you see that checking your sentences in a search engine lets you write error-free e-mail messages, you will want to keep doing that. If you memorize some words with an SRS and later you come across them in a movie or an article, you will want to add even more things to your SRS.
            Talk to people about English
This is a very simple method, but it is very effective. Here’s how it works:
You usually talk about things which interest you. But the opposite is true, too.If you start talking about a boring subject, you will begin to get interested in it.
Imagine you are studying a subject that you hate. You are bored and tired, but you have to pass the test tomorrow. If there are people near you, you have two options: you can tell everybody how much you are suffering or you can tell those people about the things you’ve learned. If you choose the first option, you will only feel worse.
If you choose the second option, and start a conversation on the “boring” subject, you will begin to look at it in a totally different way. Suddenly it will become a subject worth talking about — therefore, an interesting subject.
How can you begin such a conversation? If you’re studying English, you can surprise another person by talking to him/her in English. Say (in English): Hi, I’m studying English and I hate it. Or you can say (in your first language): Hey, I’ve learned 50 English words today. Do you know what’s the English word for ...? If there are no people near you, you can telephone or send an e-mail message to your friend.
What will your friends say? Probably they won’t be very interested, but it doesn’t matter! The important thing is this: After talking about English, you will study it with more passion. Try it.
Find a friend who is learning English
If you can find a friend who is learning English and is on a similar level of skill, you will be in an excellent situation:
·         you will have someone to talk about English with. These conversations will increase your interest in English, as explained in the previous section.
·         learning English will be easier, because you will be able to discuss your problems with your friend.
·         you will study English more, because you will want to be better than your friend.
You should meet your friend regularly. Ideally, he/she should live near you, or go to the same school as you. If you absolutely can’t find anybody willing to learn English with you, you can try to find somebody by e-mail. This is a worse solution: your conversations will probably be less frequent, and it is difficult to compete with someone who you don’t know well.
Spend some money on learning English
If you spend your money on something, you will want to use it. For example, if you buy an expensive tennis racket, you will probably go out and play tennis every day.
This rule is also true for learning English. If you want to increase your desire to learn English, buy a new dictionary, an interesting English-language book, English-language cable TV, etc. The idea is simple: You paid for it, so you will want to use it, and you will improve your English.
There is a problem with this method. It only works for a short time. You usually lose your desire to learn English after a few days. To keep learning, you would have to buy something every week!
However, this method is helpful, because it gives you an impulse to start learning. For example, if you buy a dictionary of phrasal verbs, you will probably learn some words from it. Then you should try to use them. For example, write an e-mail message with these words. This will increase your motivation (as explained before), and you will learn more.
Remember that learning English requires action
We have said this many times. One small action is more powerful than reading hundreds of articles. Yes, we know it is very hard to do things, even if they are good for us. We humans are lazy creatures. That is why not many people speak English well. Still, we hope you can do the things we talk about in our English learning method — not only read about them. You will be successful only if you change something about your life.
